Sustainability

 

At Wellesley Prep, we believe that one of our greatest responsibilities is to prepare children for the world they will inherit. Sustainability is an important part of that mission. Through our curriculum, Outdoor Learning programme and everyday school life, we help pupils understand the environmental and social challenges facing our planet, while encouraging them to think critically, act responsibly and care for the world around them.

 

We are proud of the many sustainable initiatives already taking place across the school, but we recognise that sustainability is a journey and there is always more we can do. This autumn we will develop our first Carbon Action Plan, alongside a whole-school Sustainability Policy, led by our Sustainability Lead and Sustainability Working Group. Together, these will help us reduce our environmental impact and embed sustainable thinking in everything we do. 

 

Creating a more sustainable future is a shared responsibility. By modelling good practice and working together as a community, we can show our children that every action counts. We invite pupils, parents, staff and friends of the school to join us on this journey as we strive to leave a healthier, fairer and more sustainable world for future generations.
